Substantive (5 to 8 years) experience of SAP R/3, including 3 years plus in system ownership and support environment in multiple full life cycle projects.
SAP application system administration: primarily HP - UNIX (AIX & Solaris), Some Windows NT/2K and AS/400 systems.
Database administration: Oracle, DB2 and MS-SQL server.
ITIL, SAP and Oracle Certification Preferred.
As a Senior SAP Basis Support consultant, your responsibilities will include:
• Providing service delivery to the required service levels.
• Installation, configuration and administration of large scale global and regional SAP systems.
• Overall responsibility for solutions, managing the various assigned customer's SAP systems.
• Plan, execute and follow up SAP projects under your responsibility
• Providing proactive support, through effective capacity planning and change management.
• Providing reactive support for customers of the service, and to introduce measures to reduce reactive work.
• Handling escalations from customers/other teams, about technical issues.
Profile
• Must have Demonstrated experience in full life cycle implementation.
• Must have strong technical skills in R/3, OS and Database administration
• Experience in installations, configuration, upgradations and patching.
• Expertise in SAP troubleshooting and workload analysis.
• Client Copy / Remote client copy, backup & Recovery.
• Performance Tuning of SAP, Oracle, MS SQL and DB2 Database.
• Good exposure in SAP System landscape design for development, Testing, Quality and Production environment and sizing of server.
• Previous SAP/Basis implementation knowledge preferred.
• Must be able to create sandbox and Development environment on HP UNIX.
• Knowledge of Security and integrity of SAP and database environment.
• Expertise on Database refreshes and Transport Management System.
• Proven experience in System ownership and team Management
Skills:
- SAP Basis experience on release 6.20 and above
- SAP Basis experience using Oracle, Informix/DB2, MSSQL databases
- SAP experience on any of the following NetWeaver technologies:
• ECC
• APO/SCM
• BW/BI
• EP/WP
• XI/BC
• SolMan
• J2EE
• BBP/SRM
