Baan Finance - SOX Consultant.
Job Primary Responsibilities:
Primarily works as (Finance/ Manufacturing) Systems Analyst (SOX) in a global environment. The job responsibilities include quickly understanding and evaluating the existing systems setup and designing solutions which are in compliance with the SOX requirements. Acts as Liaison between IT and Functional side.
The job also involves segregation of duties, designing new systems and solutions which increases the visibility and traceability in compliance with SOX regulations. This includes comply with a wide range of financial management and reporting requirements.
Requires creating, maintaining & documentation of reporting process, internal controls, evaluate and correct control deficiencies. Involves process configuration, reconfiguration, simplifications and standard! ization in line with SOX regulations cost effectively.
need to be prepared to work in a Global Environment that involves all the possible time zones of different continents primarily Europe, North America and Asia.Must be able to understand general finance business processed related to GL, AP, AR, Cash, Cost Accounting and Fixed Asset modules of BaaN ERP system. Must have good exposure to the Baan Manufacturing modules.
Candidate Profile:
Must be a fully qualified Charted Accountant or Cost Accountant for Finance / APICS certified for Manufacturing. (This can be relaxed later in case the person had a better job exposure) Knowledge in Standard Business processes and Internal control techniques. Baan experience will be an added advantage. Must have sound knowledge of work flows and process in a manufacturing environment. Must possess strong English communication skills. Since this person will be supporting all global users. Fluency must be such that this person can understand and effectively communicate with users for whom English is a second language and who have very limited proficiency.
